FLAS has help me in tremendous ways in my life. The FLAS staff are always welcoming to the people and provide hope. If FLAS were to disappear I wouldn't know where I would get the quality and compassionate support that I received from them. I think that mental health is always underestimated by society, however FLAS puts mental health at the top and sets the example in the community through FLAS programs. The counselor has help me so much and I cannot wait to see her each time for counseling. Thank you again for the hard work that everyone does and done in FLAS for me and for everyone.

FLAS help me achieve the variety of difficulties that I have been facing thought my entire life. from isolation to be becoming more myself. I loved having and being in your programs and I know there is always someone there I can count on. Thank you FLAS for exist.

Buenas tardes, tal vez no me recuerde, porque asi como yo, sabra dios cuantas personas lleguen pidiendo ser escuchados, pero solo le quiero dar las infinitas gracias, porque gracias a ustedes aun sigo vivo, muchisimas gracias, gracias, gracias....por el trabajo que hace para la comunidad, nunca regrese a darle las gracias, pero espero hacerlo un dia en persona.

I wanted to share my experience and gratitude to FLAS, for help me recover my true and healthy identity. I started attending counseling in the summer of 2016. It was referred to me by a dear friend of mine. She was seeing one of the counselors there and I was impressed with the help she was getting. I was going through some problems of my own. I was drinking heavily and doing drugs and in an abusive relationship. I called FLAS and immediately they wanted me to come for intake to start counseling. I schedule an appointment and I started counseling with the most amazing women I ever met in my life. Immediately she made me feel very comfortable like my home. I wanted to thank FLAS for their wonderful staff and services. FLAS totally changed my life tremendously and I can now say that because of their compassionate services, I am alcohol, drugs FREE and in a healthy relationship.

"I always drink alcohol because it help me escape from reality when I couldn't stand it and I never thought that it was possible to control myself I was surprised when I saw a bottle of Rum and I don't like it anymore. Thank you FLAS team and the counselor there for your advice is simple things that you don't think could help but, actually helps a lot and I'm so happy that you help me and guide me through this to be sober thought now. It was amazing, I'm so happy I am NOT at the verge of becoming an alcoholic anymore and that alcohol doesn't even appeal to me anymore. I can't believe it from the person I was of the person I am now. I feel like a stranger inside of me. I feel like I can't believe that I a new person and that I can continue with new life. Thank you! Hoy en este dia quiero dar gracias a alguien en especial... ese alguien eres tu Elia Chino, porque tu sin saber quien era YO, creiste en mi y ayudaste a mi familia... Tu fuiste el angel que mi padre me mando, porque cuando solo habia un dia oscuro para mi familia... Tu llegaste a iluminar ese dia con esperanza... Toda mi vida te estare agradecido y no habra tiempo para agradecerte todo lo que hiciste... No habra tiempo para agradecer que gracias a ti sigo vivo, porque tu Elia y tu organizacion que tu fundaste, me salvaron la vida y eso no tiene precio... Tu me diste la esperanza de seguir luchando por mi vida y tu me diste la señal que todo no estaba perdido... Gracias por todo...gracias por mi... Porque si no fuera por ti yo no estaria escribiendo estas palabras para darte las gracias... que Dios siempre te bendiga y te de la sabiduria y fuerzas para seguir luchando y alumbrando los caminos de los demas...
